How and why the embodied present process was developed
The 'why' trace back to my teenage years, when I was living in a world that didn't make sense to me - a world in which the adults seems to be stuck in roles, that barely left them room to breathe.
I knew the same fate awaited me if I remained. At the age of eighteen I left home in Toronto, went to England, bought a bicycle, and handed off on it for Japan. For two years I moved through cultures vastly different from my own - each of them luminous, years and each of them limited.The only time I experienced culture shock was when I returned home: that deeply familiar world now seemed arbitrary and bizarre. On my round-the-world journey. I'd gained the gift I needed: the ability to and question the assumptions binding in my own culture.
My questioning grew into a quest
Over the decades I explored and tested and trained, seeking to bring into clarity for myself The ways in which our industrialized patriarchal, top-down, dominating culture stood like a jailer over the most natural impulses of my life - and how it had seeded into my nervous system, prohibitions against the ease and harmony of my being.
Seeking the freedom that would enable me to connect with and live my deepest truth, I developed the practices that I call TEPP. In one form or another, I’ve taught and refined these practices for over thirty years. They’ve helped hundreds of individuals reconnect with the truth of their own lives by helping them reconnect with their body’s intelligence. My hope is that these practices will similarly help you.
